GRIEF-PLOITATION AND MEDIA TRAFFIC

Traffic, like we are conversant with, is the amount of people who pass through a certain place at a certain moment in a certain way. The likes of facebook posts, the views on YouTube uploads  and blog posts, the retweets and favourites on tweets, the clicks on your links and the comments on all these are regarded as social  traffics. The viability of these platforms depends on the traffics pulled. Thus, getting any amount of traffic becomes an obsession and a compulsive disorder to social media users. Since grief arrests human attention than any other emotion it has frequently been exploited and commercialized to serve the wants of traffic.  The stages of grief are said to be five (Elizabeth Kubler Ross and David Kessler). The stage of denial when the bearer denies the reality and wishes away the calamitous happening: the stage of 'no' it can never happen. The stage of anger induced by the dawning of the harsh reality: where bearers questioned even their gods. Bargaini

VIRGINITY AND MORALITY

Today, virginity may not be morality. There are so many untoward ways of sexual knowledge without the carnal. Whereas we consider a lady's moral aptitude through her virginity, a guy is considered a free agent in that regards. The double standard is an issue, as parents at times find it convenient to question and facilitate sexual activeness of the male but shy away from sexual discussion with females. On a lighter note, could it be because a male did more of the coital work in those days in contrast to our sexual modernism? Morality should be impressed on every gender regardless of the 'propensity to be promiscuous'.  The erroneous belief is that females are more susceptible to promiscuity thus we maim their pleasure organs, derail their freedom, and chastise them. The male should be subject to equal morality check while stigmatization of female and that unhealthy circumcision should stopped.  Sanitary pads should be as cheap as condoms. The only natu

EPLwatch Week 27

For Wenger, it was a wicked weekend and a dreadful derby. Derby is always enervating to losers but excitingly passionate to winners. It was a show of wayward passes, cheap dispossession for Arsenal who could not assert their style of play on the new generation Spurs, who were properly schooled by Pochettino. Mkhi was outmuscled to ineffectiveness. Xhaka was just nowhere. Defense was in utter confusion.  Kane was wasteful, but Spurs making large statement than Arsenal in London.   #takehome:  What keeps a champion's momentum is the ability to keep improving not the past feat.  Arsenal is receding and Spurs is enlarging. Guardiola festered on his teamwork and his team's reduced error rate.  Rare loose ball, tough to dispossess, thorough in attack, Man City were regal. Leicester was short in all areas in the second half and the punishing score line depicted this. Aguero did a quadruple and de Bruyne a hat trick of assist. #takehome: if you can perfect your acts, t

WAR AGAINST RAPE

The mind that conceived rape has invariably desecrated his mother. If he could do so to his mother's image, he’s no different from a Billy goat. It's an aberration to the cyst that held him for nine months and derangement to his matriline (maternal lineage). Therefore, It behooves us to enlighten everyone (a female can also rape though they thrive more on seduction, a rape of reasoning ) not to bastardize their matriline ( or patriline). Rape has different degrees of delicacy: soft rape and hard rape. A rape is beyond the physical assault of genitalia but also the seeming insignificant abuses female folks are subject to in our social spaces: at work, at home, at the cinema, etc.  Making passes and unethical touching is an abuse of authority when those are not verbally or impliedly welcomed. Those are a stage in rape. They may be soft or subtle yet any sexual assault is synonymous to rape.  Kindly, note that rape becomes a rape when it's carried out without the

Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation

Clitorodectomy (partial or complete removal of the clitoris) or infibulation (excision of part or all of the external genitalia and stitching/narrowing of the vaginal opening) are both mutilations. Cruel as the affected, the child’s consent is never sought. Both are unhygienic and can cause severe medical complications in future for the girl child. Erroneously people think female genital mutilation is a religious mandate. That misconception should be debunked. Nowhere in any Holy books was it mentioned  to circumcise females. Male Circumcision is enjoined and a sunnah in Islam. It is so encouraged in Christianity too because of the beneficial health consequences.   Justly, sexual pleasure is a legal right to both sexes on moral ground. It is very crucial that even religions allow a divorce on the ground of sexual dissatisfaction. It's a right not a privilege. Male circumcision enhances pleasure and has health benefits therefore encouraged. While female circumcision has

EPLwatch Week 26

#BURMCI Guardiola understands better what stood EPL out amidst other leagues. The other teams in EPL do not just attack top flight teams cluelessly like in other leagues. They study and wear you out for the first 30 mins or so. Then they serve their counter or strike through their  set pieces. It's a cunning move. Guardiola understands this and he needs a Sane that will add an unusual dribble to an unpredictable speed. Losing Sane for a month would be huge and it reflected in their weekend score line: a 1-1 draw with Burnley.  #TakeHome: Every champion that still breathes is fallible. To keep giving your best is an existential need. #MUNHUD Though Guardiola is still statistically within range,  Mourinho has vouched to be the first of the last. A comfortable win two goals in a pulsating second half. Manchester still on course. #TakeHome: Reality should never be confused with hope. Reality is based on situational assessment with regards to capacity and its achieva
