Chelsea Bottled 2-0 Lead to Draw 2-2 with Sheffield United: a Weak Defence that Tarnished Tammy's Brilliant Brace

Unabashed euphoria as tall Tammy got the first goal and second goal for Chelsea. Fans went agog with superlatives: the "DrogbaRegen". " my numero 9", "I can smell a Hatrick" etc. It was all beautiful fast paced football with Chelsea reasonably dominating in the first half, unbeknownst that its a "drawtrick". So the first half ended 2-0 with Chelsea winning.
But in the second half it was a depleted Chelsea side as Sheffield "sherrifed" the pitch and took over the reign. Their "sheriffing" resulted into two goals.
Fans were stupefied and wondered where they got it wrong. Was it their first half coach or their first half team?
Zouma was tacky and looked shaky with decisions. Tomori appeared solid and with some disconcerting confidence. Mount still very wild and hungrier than his age. Tammy did his best but shaky defence and gassed out midfield cost Chelsea. The substitution of Gilmour also aided nothing in absorbing the Sheffield pressure.
A drab draw and three much expected points watered down to one.
See you next week.

Weekend of the Champs and Cramps

Champs do the winning and the cramps give us whining. Champs get the points and the cramps the pains. Liverpool started the weekend like a proper champ that they are. Sallah like the coming festival stood out in the game with two solid goals. The champ of the encounter, Bournemouth burned Chelsea with a lone goal. Is Lampard's ride changing fortune? No winning is permanent, obviously. Manchester United was saved by Greenwood. While one youngster was instrumental to his team's performance, another one ( Moise Kean) that entered as a sub was later subbed off because he looked knackered. Champs and Cramps. Be and the Wannabes! Talking of the Champs and Cramps, Gunners were gunned down. Decimated beyond reparation in the first half. De Bruyne ricocheting shot couldn't be stopped resulting into the first goal and Sterling stellar placement was also conceded, second goal. The third was still De Bruyne ruining the Gunners with a curvy shot that beat the defenders wi...

Brentford Beat Blundering Gunner Two Goal To Nil

The start of EPL came with Arteta still unable to  fumble out of his not-too-convincing career in Arsenal. Brentford came roaring from relegation to beat Arsenal who dream of getting to top four this season. But like their pre-season, a miscarriage of dreams, they fell a goal behind to Brentford through Canos super strike. From that moment forward, Brentford became the Bully, created more chances and Arsenal passed sideways as if the goal post was at the corner flag. Anyways, White white-out on the field, the presence of 50 million bargain wasn't felt. Mari was too casual for a defender. Tierney will soon burn out. Chambers tried his chambers-efforts. Upfront Balogun was starved of direct passes. Pepe will never pepper any defender except when he is in luck. The dude cannot be consistent except he sees a man-manager. Smith is a ball-smith but combined with Xhaka sideways and momentary slip & sleep off, Smith Rowe just rowing to a fruitless breeze. Martinelli needs to man...

Liverpool Laundered Chelsea 2-0

Lampard's League of Assassins became the victim and were turned into whiff when they met King Klopp's Coven of Wizards. Mane mane-handled them, scoring a brace. Klopp's magic wand turned Timo Werner to Timo Waster. Havertz became Harvard without a degree. Kante could not count any goal. Kepa also was no keeper. Chelsea became ChelShit: as all turned messy.  The game actually started as if Chelsea would be in control for a longer time. Werner squandered two good chances, though his movements were always threatening.  But the real story unveiled after 40+ minutes into the game. Mane got Christensen to foul him. Red card for CB.  The game became only Liverpool's. Magic Mane later got the first goal and also the second which was gifted by Kepa unkempt pass. Jorginho kept jogging but not creating. Zouma tried his best and Tomori as sub was not timorous but the scoreline wasnt palatable.  Lampard has a lot to fix. But he has another league o...
